Pro Paste epoxy

I'm a new rod builder, just a hobby right now, but the Pro Paste epoxy has been a good product for me so far.

Good product. Strong bond

Been using the product to build rods for years. Only negative is that it will get hard when stored for a long time so it’s better to buy multiple smaller quantities if you build sporadically

Best product I have found

This paste is easy to mix and work with. Holds super tight and has a good pot life making it very workable.

ProPaste Paste Epoxy

ProPaste Paste Epoxy is another fantastic product, and as many other reviews have mentioned, it has an excellent reputation. However, like any epoxy, its shelf life starts ticking once opened, even if stored properly.

In my experience, the product began to degrade after about two years. I was able to build several rods using the 8 oz. kit, but I noticed that the resin (in the white container) started to harden on its own, even without contact with the hardener.

For this reason, I recommend sticking to the 8 oz. kit and smaller unless you plan on building more than four rods per year. You can also consider vacuum seal the product after opening to help its shelf life after you utilized it for your build
