This kit takes the guesswork out of rod building. Still new to rod building but this makes life so much easier!
A+++/ love the added speed limiter and the black color . The roller clamps is a nice touch easy blank release.
I’m going to try to be fair with this review because I am still getting used to it.
Let me start with saying, I love working with it! The fact that I can adjust the speed have a digital readout to correspond with the speed I am comfortable with is amazing. Also it was easy to set up and felt high quality from the get go. The fact that the track is wider than my old one is a plus as well as some of the parts from the old one (ALPS) work on this one. Such as the thread carriage and tensioner which means I can have two thread set ups and it makes my life easier. The black finish makes it easier to write on and mark measurements so I can make consecutive rods without having to re-measure for each one.
The only wrinkle I really see is the rollers. The rollers themselves are good it’s their base that had me a little disappointed. If you could redesign them to be a little sturdier as well as lock in place better while keeping the ease of moving them, that would put this wrapper in a league of its own.
