Great 101 level course

My father and I attended the course in Ovideo this month and had a great time. Go into the class knowing that it's a long first day. Take your time and ask for help and you will receive it. The instructors were all very helpful and willing to guide and assist when needed, though the idea is for you to build the rod so don't expect them to do all the work for you but they were happy to guide, instruct, and ensure you were progressing well. They were also very willing to provide thier insights and experiences which helps to add a personal touch. Rod building is a very unique and individualized activity limited only by your imagination. This beginning class was our first rod builds and things were kept at a basic level, no complex wrapping, complicated layouts or process - it was a great way to get started. I also really appreciated day two with the additional interactions/demos/q&a as we learned a lot during day two that helped to connect the dots regarding they "why" for the steps and process we completed the day before. I now have a great memory with my father as well as a quality rod that I can take pride in saying I built. Thanks to the entire team!

Great class!

It was a great class. I learned how to build a rod, and almost more importantly, how to repair a rod. All 5 instructors were great. Be ready for a lot of tedious threading all in one day. I did not expect that time suck.
It would be good if the instructors laid out the process in the beginning of the day. All in all, I am recommending it to all of my friends. If you can, take this class!!!!!

Informative class and accommodating

I learned a lot from this class. They were very informative and really make sure to help you if you are struggling with part of the rod building sequence. I unfortunately had to miss the final class due to another obligation and they were very accommodating to make sure I had the information to finish building my rod. Very good people to work with.

On the fence? Just do it!

With so many excellent videos on the internet including those by Mud Hole I was questioning if I NEEDED a class or not but I am so glad I did! Jesus was great as an instructor and the quality of the materials provided were excellent. I loved the atmosphere of the class and the opportunity to be able to ask a living person questions while learning to do something that is actually more complicated then the internet videos will lead you to believe. Take the class! Just do it!

Fantastic!

Phenomenal class with outstanding instructors! They answered all my questions and took the time to explain. They were even able to give more one on one time to myself and fellow students than expected. Cannot wait to get a few rods under my belt and take the advanced class.
Thank you, George K Lake City, Fl
