CRB Guide Alignment & Reel Seat Spacer Tool

Product Details

CRB has proven yet again why it is the premier brand in Tackle Crafting tools and equipment in the world with the addition of the CRB-ALNMT Alignment Sight and Reel Seat spacer.

This simple but effective tool takes the guesswork out of reel seat mounting. Its bead sight allows builders to align their seats easily and accurately with their spine marks during the handle construction process. The mounting foot profile is based off industry standard reel size and makes installing popular split reel seats a breeze. Easy to use and exceptional value to boot, you won't regret adding this cool new rod building tool to your line up.

Reel seat tool

Mainly use it for a seat spacer, nifty little tool to have around

CRB Guibe Alignment

I am using this tool constantly. I have found it a go to tool all the way through my rod build.

Limited Use

The tool is probably great for split seat alignment but I bought it as a guide-alignment tool for baitcasting rods and it has limited use, if any. The bead is just too high to see through the guides for alignment (see picture). However, it could be a great tool for casting rod use if it was made with the bead height closer to the height of casting rod guides.

I placed the tool on a spinning rod that is already built and I can see where it would work fantastic for guide alignment in that application. It actually showed how poor the guide alignment is on a store-bought rod I own.

Guide alignment

I’m not sure if it was the guides I was using for the actual tool. But it was hard to see all the guides in a straight line
