A simple reel seat, heavy duty and double ringed so the reel stays put. Field tested in ID last week on a new roof build, 10ft 3/4 weight which performed flawlessly
I had an old bamboo rod given to me . Put on a new click and pawl reel and discovered the seat was cracked. What an improvement over the original seat . Better than the original
I had an old Reverse Half Wells grip that the cutout had broken. Bought the AL8, cut off the remainder of the cutout on the grip, bought a F2 fighting butt that pairs with the AL8 seat and put them together to assemble a rod for my grandson. Looks and feels good.
