Clean look and comfortable

Grips are comfortable with clean look. Best part for me is that they match up in outer diameter very well with the size 18 reel seats I’ve been using.

Love them.

I've outfitted several rods with these grips, Some are going on 4 years and holding up great, with moderate use. Only complaints are: I wish they came in blue and there aren't many butt grips that fit properly. The one I use is the CRB EVA size 4.

Winn Full Rear Grip 8.5"

Got this for a ML Spin Jig blank to be made into a casting rod for small topwater lures. Decided to go with this instead of the usual split grip for a less-complicated build behind the reel seat. LOVE the Winn grips!!! I was wondering about the sensitivity of the Winn material, but one of the MH guys said that they were designed to have a similar sensitivity to cork. It took several hours of wrist/hand discomfort to ream out the grip so it would fit, so I wish they would make the center hole about 1/2 inch for no reaming on the thinner blanks; this is my main reason for the 4 stars. Also, I wish they had it in more colors (although the red does seem to match up well with many blank colors). The rear tang fits perfectly with the Winn end caps, and the front foam ring fits perfectly into the back end of the CRB painted casting grips. The rod is still under construction, but so far this combination feels comfortable for my average-size hand; will need a few hours of actual casting to be sure. The extra bit of weight (as compared to a split grip) MIGHT help balance the rod better (I had to use a rubberized fighting butt on one 6'3" rod for proper balance). I installed this full rear grip with the seam facing upward in alignment with my spine marks, so this worked out well. Recommended if you don't mind all the required reaming work.
