Everything doesn’t fit and slide in it easily as I would like but does the trick
The Base station tracks are great. The really make the building process more stable. The bolts with the springs really make it easy to just push and twist lock the holders in place and they can be moved easily with just a twist. I use two of the bolts with springs with a extra washer to hold my wrapper in place so it want slide back and forth. The other nice thing is you can add to it as your Rod building abilities grow.
If they made rod holder bolts that just slid in the channel, they wouldn't ever get tight. That's why they're made to put at an angle, so they would catch to hold the bolt. "Just saying"
The only flaw with this kit is with the rod holder bolts /wing nuts. The oval bolts that SHOULD slide into the slots on the track do not fit. You must put them in at an angle and then tighten the daylights out of the wingnut to secure in place. I don't if that's the way they intend it to work or not, but either way, it's stupid. The bolts should slip right into the slots without having to turn them at an angle.
Of course, the easy fix, which I've already done, is to grind the bolt down a hair so that it fits the slot. No big deal, but I shouldn't have had to do it. That's why I'm giving this product a 4 in lieu of a 5.
