I added this thread mostly as a "hmm, I wonder what this would look like" sort of thing to a recent online purchase. It looks a little like jasper thread (which has gotten difficult to source) and I was curious to see how it would look on a vintage strip, varnish, and re-wrap. Using an orphaned section, I made several test whippings. These are my thoughts.

Pros
It's really easy to wrap, and the thread packs nicely. The variegation does look like jasper pattern thread, and I think looks tasteful over the warm tones of bamboo.

Cons
The thread is coarser than I imagined it would be, so it's important to take time to carefully pack and avoid any gaps or overlaps. Those sort of lapses are magnified due to the coarse thread.

Conclusion
I like what I see so far and will use this thread for a South Bend rod I've got in the queue. The thread is not at all as fine as silk, but does feel like it will make for a sympathetic pairing with the bamboo.

Digging the looks of the Pro Wrap Tiger Thread. It brings back the old school look from the 70's on the rebuild I'm doing. Easy to work with, just have to remember that it does need color preserver to retain the colors of the spool. Nice product.
