The new Versatile Spinning Reel Seat designed by Fuji®, improves overall strength and performance over standard reel seats and can be used with a much wider range of reels. The slim, smooth streamlined shape provides increased comfort and a superb fit for the angler's hand, while the curved hood supports the hand and fingers from the first cast to the last catch. Increased comfort and support leads to better rod performance!
VSS Reel Seats are lightweight, extremely tough and designed with a unique “collar” that not only looks stylish, but protects and reinforces cork in critical areas near the seat. Order cork handle number BGV16/17 for a perfect fit every time. Available in a variety of hood colors and diameters.

Getting the inside of the VSS reel seat honed out to sit correct was a little challenging. It looks great and I will be buying more of these.
completeted rod build and fished an hour,, after about 3 and 4 casts i had to retighten the lock nut to the reel seat which is annoying. i would have to redo the entire bottom half of the 2 piece rod to replace it. if reel seat came with a second lock ring that would be the fix
Love this real seat so much I have built 4 more rods with it
Some of my smaller spinning reels don’t fit in the size 16 vss seat but other than that it’s great! I don’t like a lot of grip options for smaller spinning seats, so vss is a great fit for a clean look.
By far my favorite spinning seat. Strong, light, comfortable
