The PVD coated stainless steel Wire Fly Tops are designed with a welded loop to tube connection for reliable frame integrity and strength. In addition to black or polished frames, the Wire Tip Tops come in 3 loop sizes: standard, large, and x-large that satisfy any fly fishing application.
The XL Wire Tops are also extremely popular for ice fishing rods.

These are a great tip top that have ample depth for good adhesion and centering. The black is a gloss black. Just an fyi the large tip top measures about 7.7mm in internal diameter.
They work. They’re cheap. Haven’t got a bent one yet. If they’re sold out I usually get a size up and lay a light wrap under it. Works fine. Usually go with the XL. Go big, or go home.
