The CRB Spine Finder and Deflection System is a versatile, multi-use tool to assist rod builders when locating the spine of any rod blank as well as being an integral part means for static deflection. Simply insert the rod blank and push down to reveal the spine.
The Spine Finder features precision ball bearings with protective urethane covers that allow the blank to safely and securely rotate into its natural spine with ease. In addition, a five-position articulating head allows builders to position their rod blanks at their desired angle before deflecting. The sturdy PVC base is pre-drilled for easy mounting on your work bench or to your RBS Aluminum Base Station via T-Bolts (not included).
This tool is a must if you build custom rods. Patent Pending.

I been using the spine finder for about a month now,I just wanted to be absolutely sure that I was dead on The spine,it takes out all the guess work out and puts you dead on.and it's easy to use.

I like it. It's definitely a asset.
I use it for every build! Well made product.
A lesson learned. Don't use this tool for fly rod blanks they told me after I broke a section using the tool. I have used it for other blanks with no problem whatsoever. The tool gets 5 stars. The published information under product details on the web site, not so many.
