Our beginners rod building class is taught by top professional rod builders with extensive knowledge of all the techniques and components that build today's top-performing fishing rods. Hosted remotely using Zoom Meetings, this class will teach you how to assemble your own spinning or casting rod from the handle to the tip.
The 3-day workshop takes place on consecutive evenings - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday - from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm EST.
The 2-day workshop is held on consecutive weekend days - Saturday and Sunday - from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm EST.
You will build a 7'0" medium-light power rod, in your choice of spinning or casting.

Class Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations made 30+ days prior to the class date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 15 to 30 days prior to class date may be rescheduled up to 1 time. All cancellations made less than 15 days prior to the class date will forfeit their class fee and receive the class items, there will be a shipping charge for all items shipped to customers.

Did the online class. Cindy was a great and patient teacher. My first rod turned out good and actually caught three little bass with it the first time out.

You can go out and buy a $200 rod or you can take the virtual class and build it anyway you want it! I took this class this past weekend with instructors Jesus and Curtis. They are the best professionals to not only show you how to build your own rod but they even went above and beyond and showed us different grip installations! They answered all our questions and guided us threw every step of the process. If we really struggled they communicated effectively and made sure we had a good understanding of the rod building process! Whether it was how to tie our thread or mix our epoxy correctly! Mudhole sent me everything I needed to build the rod. I was really surprised with how fast I received my rod blank and all my gear! They send you more than what you need I have enough rod building gear to build 3 more rods! If your thinking about pulling the trigger on taking this class,DO IT! It was worth every dollar I spent! I now have a custom rod that will last a lifetime!
