I've applied a number of these and they look real nice from the side without the seam. However, the edge on the upper side of the seam tends to lift a bit after the epoxy finish coat, causing a ridge, and exposing the white underside of the lifted edge. I always make sure that seam is on the "bottom" side of the rod, but it's a bit frustrating to end up with that raised edge.
