The Power Wrapper that set the bar, has raised it… again. The Second Generation of CRB RBS-PRO Power Wrapper & Dryer combines the smooth operation and dependability of the original while adding additional features and expandability to grow along with your business.
This Second Generation allows builders to complete a rod build without ever having to remove the rod from the unit. From turning a custom handle, to wrapping guides and decorative thread work, down to the final coat of rod finish, it can all be done on the CRB RBS-PRO G2.
The RBS-Pro Power Wrapper and Dryer features a Heavy Duty precision machined aircraft grade aluminum headstock and chuck. With both concave and convex chuck teeth the RBS-Pro securely holds a wide range of rod blanks and mandrels across the full RPM range. The face of the chuck features indexing in 15 degree increments for those builders spiral wrapping custom rods or laying out thread art designs.
The RBS-Pro Power Wrapper and Dryer offers a power control knob allowing the builder to adjust the speed while getting a digital voltage readout to allow for setting repeatability. The builder not only has power adjustment at their fingertips but the unit features an electric foot pedal that drive the power wrapper. The power is delivered to the chuck via stepped aluminum pulleys, allowing four different speed and torque configurations. Two drive belt options are included.
What would all this power be without control and adjustment? The motor plate on the CRB RBS-Pro is fully adjustable to allow the builder to make fine adjustments to the belt tension and alignment throughout the life of the unit.

I’m very disappointed in the chuck, the jaws are not machined well enough to properly center an arbor or turning mandrill without significant wobbling. I would have paid more to get a more precision chuck with the unit. Also, the foot pedal makes crackling noises and smells like it’s about to burn up, most unfortunate……..
Wrapper is awesome and the bonus dryer motor makes it even more worth the money!!! Good job crb!
I owned a tackle shop in south FL and owned a few power wrappers, but this thing truly is the best ever.
Foot pedal big let down low profile great. Slow speed impossible to attain or maintain. The eltrical connections make switching to my favorite foot pedal difficult. Speed makes jumping up on foot of guide interesting, switch over to drying motor better for my arthritic hands. Would have enjoyed 4 position indicator or better yet stops on chuck 0, 90,180, 270 degrees. Another improvement would be a alignment string on top, working one up on mine. I am also working on a 3d printed vacume trap for mounting on the track base. After 3 rods I'm overall pleased with the rest of my system. Does great job on grip turning both cork & foam. Dryer motor does what you expect. Hope these suggestions help.
Recently purchased an RBS Pro hoping the upgrade would work better than my RBS power wrapper. I have been truly pleased with the performance of this thing. I am handicap and partially blind and this machine has made it easy to enjoy my favourite pastime...rod building. Thank
