Love These Smooth Butts

These smooth butts are easy to use when building offshore or inshore boat rod rear grips. I prefer to use them because of the ease in the way they slide in and out of the rod holders. They may get scratched but they don’t tear as foam on occasion does. Unfortunately they only come in one color. I use the longest butt for my rail rod builds. Thanks Mudhole for keeping them in stock!

Easy fix

Customers wanting to re-grip the rod butt due to wear and tear? This is a perfect solution without disassembling the whole rod. Not only is it easier, but it makes the rod butt tougher and easier to pull out of the rod holder.

Great for rod holders, a little heavy

If you don’t mind the weight, it’s great for rod holders.

I actually bought this because I needed to replace a reel seat and didn’t want to remove my foregrip and guides. I cut the rear EVA grip and aluminum seat off, slid the new seat on, and this slick but slides right on.
