MHX Slow Pitch Jigging Rod Blanks
Product Details
MHX Slow Pitch Jigging Rod Blanks are specifically designed to give the angler full control of the jig at all time, which translates into more bites.
From Pelagic species like Tuna, Kingfish and Amberjack to Demersal species like Grouper and Snapper, the MHX Slow Pitch Jigging Blank Series will prove to be the tool every Slow Pitch angler needs.
MHX Offshore Jigging Slow Pitch Rod Blanks
The Slow Pitch Jig rod blanks belong to the innovative MHX Offshore Jigging Series. The Slow Pitch Jig incorporates the Toray 6K Standard Modulus Woven Graphite Fiber of 33 million modulus and a Nano Resin Technology. In addition, MHX has incorporated a 5K Crosshatch Carbon Weave that adds an impact resistant, protective outer layer without increasing weight.
The smaller blank diameters are designed with specific rod action in mind. This Slow Pitch Blank Series features a small outer diameter with a thicker blank wall that perfectly marries the Toray woven fiber with the Nano Resin to create a unique moderate recoil action.
It is the blank that allows the angler to have precise control over the jig and where it is located in the water column. All models in the Slow Pitch series are designed with durability and performance in mind. The Slow Pitch technique requires specific movements and extraordinary feel and for that reason, MHX Introduces the Slow Pitch.

Awesome blank. using the H for Fluke and probably Tog this fall. Bought the XH for deeper water Cod, Haddock , Pollack Super light and super strong. Sensitive too.
Bought two of these and spent a lot of time making these rods nice. I have built many rods so these aren't the first ones I've made. Both snapped when I was using a 3oz bucktail and reeling in a small Seabass. Warranty department did send out replacements but I still had to eat the cost of everything else.
I would not recommend buying these
Great blank. lots of power in such a light package.
I have made 3 rods from these blanks… the 200gram …. I have fished them and they look great and are very good quality. I have been railroaded by sharks and snagged on bottom structure, and that kind of force was absorbed and the blanks held up great … (don’t high stick) …. The rod is light and produces a subtle sensitive feel … the rod blank can handle more than the reels and line that I have been using on them ……. Definitely the best blank for slow pitch jigging
The sales person I ordered from assured me he was knowledgeable about slow pitch rods. I am a beginner at rod building so I let him pick my guides out as I had know idea what size to get. Guides r way to big for rod and unfortunately I already put guides on blank and then saw my friends rod. My guides look ridiculous compared to his.I ordered stainless guides and got a black tip that was over size. I will build another slow pitch rod and from that experience will know the correct size next time.
