Have not used it yet but I am sure it will be a great FP rod
In the process of building this rod for pitching and punching into thick matted vegetation. I think it will work great.
I absolutely fell in love with these rods before the first cast. Thank you mud hole for carrying quality products at a great price.
As a kayak angler I was in need for a big Stick in my arsenal to pull those big angry Florida Bass out of the vegetation. This rod gets that done! The sensitivity along with the power it has definitely serves its purpose. I cut 4 inches off of the butt end to shorten the rod up for better management within the confining space of the kayak and paired it up with the American Tackle CCT PSEAT and LZR guide set ,absolutely love it. No regrets.
I purchased the 885 when I saw it was listed as a Mod/Fast action. When I was going to look for another black to get I found the MHX Product catalog in the learn/ manuals page. MHX lists this blank as a fast action. I told customer service about this when I called them with a question about another product. I told the guy I wasn’t happy & he didn’t seem to care, only saying he would let someone know about it.
