K-Series Guides For Fuji’s New KR Concept Micro/Braid System

KR Concept is a game changer in terms of great performance at lighter weights. KR Guide trains are lighter than anyone could have imagined just a few years ago. Although Fuji developed the concept with special attention to the “micro” craze, in the final review they realized the parameters were appropriate for any braided line and for conventional “non-micro” rods as well. Ultimately, KR Concept has impact far beyond micro rods and is an advance in the performance of any rod using braid and most rods using monofilament or fluorocarbon lines. The K- Series Guides in this section are designed specifically for builders wanting to apply the KR Concept to a wide variety of finished rods.

Fuji’s newest and certainly one of the most unique guides ever developed is the KR Concept Double-Foot “RV”. RV is stirring things up among surf casters looking for big, lightweight, long-casting KR Concept surf rods for the unforgiving beaches of the Northeast. In addition, Fuji also included a small size 6 stripper designated as the one stripper choice for KR Concept casting rod layouts. The higher smaller ring manages casting chatter better than any guide tested.

Very smooth and cast well

It's pretty good for an Inshore rod. It casts very far and smoothly. The only complaint is that the paint is already scratched.

I use K guides in all my builds and alot of my repairs. I just wish you had the size of guides l need. Seems like things are never in stock

Excellent Guides

These are some excellent guides for a KR Concept guide train. I did 16h-8h-5.5m-5kb-5kt runners. That 16h is awesome for a 2500 reel paired with 15lb braid. No slap on the blank, doesn’t bind at the guide and overall are awesome!

My one caveat is that if you get the BC Grey and plan to beat the rod, the guide coating will scrape off and reveal a bright silver stainless guide. If you expect the rod to get some of that during its life I would recommend the silver.

Repair broken guides

Had a St. Croix 7' medium light mojo inshore rod that was in an accident that busted the stripper and second guides...these replacement guides look to be a slight upgrade over the OEM factory guides. Have not had an opportunity to fish with it due to snowy winter time but they look like a very good choice. Been many years since I built a rod, but it was not a "lost skill"...
