This small, lightweight wrapper is everything you need to start learning to repair & build custom fishing rods.
I am a full time RVer and had this setup in my tiny rv kitchen, working on a 7' rod.
It's very lightweight so I may mount it to a 1x6 piece of wood, but it works fine as is.
It's the cheapest option you can get without it being unusable. The blank tends to slide when you want to speed up, forcing you to go slow, making your wraps a little better. I bought another baseplate so I can have a larger area to wrap, highly recommend it.

I’m new to rod building, but this was easy to use. Once I figured out the angles to keep the thread from spacing out, it worked great.
