CFX Composite Carbon Fiber Grips - 1.75" Stubby Foregrip for Fuji PTS/TVS

Product Details

These all-new grips are specially bored to match Fuji's hidden locking nut reel seats, including the PTS, TVS and LOK/AN locking nut.

CFX Carbon Fiber Composite Grips

CFX grips begin with a proprietary carbon infused core material. It is the weight of traditional 4 lb urethane foam but has the density and strength of 7 lb. It is stronger, lighter, and more dense than any grip material available. What this means to you is the ultimate in energy transmission, far superior to cork, EVA, hypalon or other carbon fiber grips.

CFX grips have a buffed matte finish that is comfortable, easy to grip, and impervious to UV breakdown. The end result is a beautiful grip that is lighter and more sensitive than any rubber based handle, translating to more bites felt, more hook sets and more fish in front of the camera.

Carbon Fiber grips

I’m using them more and more. Great for ultralight builds. Easy to ream out. Great sensitivity. People I’ve built for really like them. I have a couple of rods that have had them for about 2 yrs and they are holding up quite well.

Great look and fit!

I added this hood to my last spinning rod build and it turned out great! Be careful handling this hood as it’s very fragile until you get is glued up. I glued on an aluminum winding check to dress it up a bit, hoping the glue holds while fishing. I had to do a small amount of sanding on the small opening a little to remove a lip so that the winding check would meet up tight.

Perfect fit

These fit great, but fit and finish could be better. I always have to sand the ends more than I feel like I should need to. In general, Alps CF grips are more uniform and perfect but CFX has a better feel.

Some tough grips!

I put these grips on a couple of freshwater spinning rods whose Winn AR grips were worn out. As a rod re-build vs a new rod build, I just removed 3 or 4 of the existing guides and slid these over the remaining guides and into place on my Fugi TVS hidden thread reel seat. Once they were glued on, I let them dry for a couple of days and then coated then with1 thin coat of Permagloss. Let them dry for a couple of days to seal them good. I then rewrapped and coated the remaining guides. They turned out beautiful!

Made a clean finish and simple foregrip

I used this on the Fuji SKSS split real seat with a carbon fiber mid body and a 11” carbon handle. Kept it simple and has held well with just normal epoxy .
