ATX Jig Stick Rod Blanks

Product Details

ATX POWER LIFTING ROD BLANKS

Featuring durable E-glass, graphite, and graphite composite materials, ATX Rod Blanks were designed for durability and uncompromised performance. E-glass models in traditional actions provide proven success offshore, while the graphite casting models fill out the inshore arsenal. The graphite composites blend the heavy lifting power of graphite with the durability of fiberglass - enabling you to win battles anywhere and everywhere.

Offered in a gloss-black for E-glass and gloss-clear for graphite models.

Fun but delicate

You get what you pay for. It’s fun to cast. I casts 3oz really well. The paint chips very easily though. Ended up having to flex coat over chipped areas regularly. My rods also bang around with other ones on my boat, so I could have treated it better, but I don’t have the paint chipping issue with my other rods. I high sticked a 10lb CA halibut the other day and it broke near the tip - likely my fault. I’m not going to buy another one or submit a warranty claim and will buy a different glass blank to replace that is more durable.
