My old grips were Bout 3-4 years old and were very worn. I replaced them with new ones. Not a hard job at all. Rods look almost brand new.
Definitely not the look of classic cork, but for all practical purposes and comfort, hard to beat

Even though I used a casting one for a spinning rod that took some adjustments but worked all the same.
I have used this grip many times on my flounder and redfish rods. I love the texture and feel of it, and is a pretty easy application. The only downside is you need to be careful when using bug spray while using it. It will disintegrate the outer layer. So rinse your hands after using any type of Deet product.
