Winn rod grips are two-piece designs comprised of an underlisting (inner layer) of lightweight EVA foam and an outer layer of one of our advanced polymer materials.
WE BOND OUR PATENTED ADVANCED POLYMER MATERIALS TO AN EVA UNDERLISTING.
In addition to copyright, trademark and trade dress rights, Winn Incorporated products are protected by one or more of the U.S. and foreign patents and utility models.
I was able to fight and land this biggin' with ease AND comfort using these grips. They feel great in the hand and allow me to have a solid grip on the rod without being too heavy.
I find these "casting" butts to be extremely popular on all my spinning rods builds. People seem to like the way it bumps your forearm when you are fighting a fish and they fit in any rods holder which is important for kayak build. People love the feel and texture as well.
Why no black?????
Hey Richard, we do offer the black ones as part of the solid color Winn fighting butt grips. Here is a link to the page that they can be found on.
