Product Details

The Tsuka 2 delivers a range of cutting-edge features. Leading the way in blow-molded construction with the option of matte 3K carbon or forged carbon, American Tackle has solidified itself as a pioneer in handle design. Notably, the Tsuka 2 delivers the industry's first complete forged carbon handle system, revolutionizing the fishing rod landscape which earned American Tackle the Best in Show at ICAST 2023.

Versatility is a key attribute, as the Tsuka 2 Handle can be seamlessly integrated for a new custom build or retro-fitted onto completed rods. Its slim and ergonomic designs prioritize comfort and control, ensuring an optimal fishing experience. The handle's lightweight nature not only enhances maneuverability but also contributes to an overall reduction in the rod's weight without compromising strength. This blow-molded carbon process gives the most dedicated angler added durability to withstand the rigors tournament angling and elevates their ability to detect even the lightest of bites.

Easy to Build On

I’ve done three builds on these now and they are super easy to build on. One spinning and two casting. No grip boring, less winding checks and super easy. You could build on it with no checks as where you might put one is up under the hood. I’ve used a couple of different checks with it but I think I like the tapered cone shaped one the most. Just build up some tape and good to go for epoxy. You do have to get used to cutting your blanks down which is a bit unnerving to start with but the up side is it gives you opportunity to select your total length. So I built a 7 foot drop-shot rod from a 7 3 blank. It turned out nice. I tied a weight hanger back on where it would have been a split grip with no issue. I think it looks good and should be very functional. The grip/seat is super light as well. You do pay for it though. A little on the expensive side. Depending on what you typically build with it could be 100% more expensive. If you want to do a super light, high end build this is a great option.

Tsuka2

These handles are incredible light and sensitive just what you need to detect the slightest of bites.

a little skinny in the butt

I like the no fuss, no muss, part of building with the tsuka 2 handle. Low inventory requirement, no trim pieces to measure for, easy glue up, What's not to like? The skinny butt on the spinning handle! While I enjoy a trim, maybe athletic figure, I would like to feel a little more meat on the butt. thanks
