Shimano Tallus Slick Butt Roller Rods

Big Fish, Less Fatigue

The Shimano Tallus Slick Butt Roller Rods combine lightweight construction, progressive rod actions, and a specialized guide layout for battling powerful offshore gamefish. Built with Shimano's TC4 blank technology, these rods help minimize weight for greater comfort during extended fishing sessions, while their slightly slower actions allow the blank to flex progressively under load, reducing angler fatigue during demanding fights. The guide system pairs an AFTCO roller stripper guide and roller tip with Fuji O-Ring guides along the middle of the rod, providing smooth line passage while reducing friction at key contact points. Designed for a variety of offshore fishing techniques, the Tallus series offers a practical combination of strength, comfort, and line management for anglers pursuing tuna, swordfish, grouper, and other hard-fighting gamefish.
