Absolute time saver!

Just used this tape dispenser to apply tape arbors for two reel seats. Need to get two rods done quickly this week. Using my RBS PRO G2 lathe to spin the blank, the tape spooled quickly onto the blank. The learning curve was easy - with minor adjustments while spooling, it built up to the desired diameter with no problem. I was able to do 5 arbors in the time it took to do 2 manually. Helpful hint - use a small rubber wedge between the dispenser and the track to hold the dispenser in place once you have it aligned (see pic). It actually helps to dampen adjustments while the tape is spooling since they are very small movements left or right to keep the tape centered. Without the wedge or similar, the dispenser moves left or right too easily. I'll never hand-wrap a tape arbor again.
