Phenix Ultra Swimbait Classic Rod Blanks

Product Details

Directly derived from Phenix's phenomenal Hybrid technology, these Ultra Swimbait blanks of this new series are extremely light and unbelievably strong. The unique layering process allows Phenix to create the Hybrid blank that is completely Woven Carbon Fiber from butt to tip. The result is a blank that is uniformly balanced. Finally, a balanced swimbait rod! Specifically designed to withstand the brutal casting of big baits with spectra, the Swimbait is the number one choice for intense anglers seeking aggressive monster bass.

Fantastic, but they take a #7 tip.

These blanks are amazing. I just built new swimbait rod on one. But when I went to put a size 6.5 tip on, there was no chance getting it on. I had to bump up the a size 7 for the propped fit. If you plan on building on one of these blanks, consider ordering a 7.0 tip instead of a 6.5.
