Once they have passed the quality control stage, each MHX blank is assigned an individual serial number. This assures that every MHX rod you build, fish, buy or sell can be tracked throughout it’s life cycle from end to end with no concern about warranty issues.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

Each rod blank can be registered online with its individual serial number by either the custom rod builder or the end user of the rod. When registered, the blanks unique serial number identifies that rod blank to registrant. If the registrant sells or gives the rod blank or finished rod to another person, the warranty can be transferred to the new owner – an industry first.

Lightweight, sensitive, yet quite powerful for their rating... These are awesome blanks. Quite versatile! Buy with confidence.

Nice While It Lasted

I built a jigging walleye rod on a NSJ872 and was very pleased with the balance this rod stuck between sensitivity and the amount of backbone it provided. After about 2x months of use the rod snapped in two, approximately 58" from the butt, while trying to cast an 1/8 oz jig and minnow. From the sounds of it MHX has a bad habit of self-destructing like this, it is as if there are brittle areas in their blanks that are just waiting to snap. After doing a little research into the warranty service for MHX I just salvaged the guides and grip and built another walleye rod on an American Tackle SJ72/8-12 blank and have been nothing but pleased with it. It has every bit of sensitivity the Elite had at less than half the price.

I wish I would have done this right out of the gate I could have saved myself a nice chunk of change and several hours of labor.

too brittle

I've had two blowup into three and four pieces. I like their performance, however, they are the only blanks that have broken while using them. Both blanks blew up while making a cast.

NSJ781

This is the best light action rod I have ever used. Super sensitive. Works great for a light crappie rod.

GOOD

I made a drop shot rod from this blank.
I am very satisfied with it.
