Madeira Polyneon Thread Size A (1100 Yds)

Product Details

POLYNEON NO. 40

Polyester rod building thread, Polyneon, is constructed of a specially developed raw material which eliminates looping, puckering and virtually all thread breaks. Suitable for almost any application, Polyneon's unique formula makes this thread extremely durable and smooth running. Vibrant colors which are silky and luxurious as well as resistant to fading make Polyneon an ideal thread for rod building.

100% colorfast, Polyneon's colors remain brilliant even after repeated exposure to sunlight, chlorine, and washing. The durability and strength of this 2-ply 100% Polyester filament thread allows it to resist abrasion and eliminate breaks during high speed wrapping.

Equivalent to Size A thread – 1100 yd. spool

Ive used this thread on a couple of rod builds. Quickly becoming my favorite non-metallic thread.

The best strongest thread!

Madeira poly neon thread is also great for Embroidery. It doesn’t break in my machine and shred. It’s very strong and beautiful.

Excellent thread!

Used on 3 rods works great! Color is fantastic.

Shiny!

Beautiful thread. Seems to work well. Has a lot less fuzz than the ancient Holland and Gudebrod nylon threads I've experimented with.

A few notes:
1) The names given to colors on this page don't match those given by Madeira (as of 2/14/2024).
2) The color swatches on this page don't match images of the actual thread. I suspect MudHole has tried to communicate an idea of what the color will be after application of color preserver and finish.
3) This thread, intended for machine embroidery, is lubricated. You may need to apply color preserver to avoid issues with epoxy thread finish.
4) Wrapping flaws don't burnish out so easily as with nylon wrapping thread. Stay on top of things.
