I have been very surprised how the finish looks when dried.I keep room at 80F and when I started using Gen 4 I use to use heat to get rid of bubbles,and that didn't work well,more apeared.So warming up bottles before mixing fix that issue for me.I did test wrap runs and like any new product,takes time to figure out why issue and how to fix them.Smallest amount used was 3cc of each ,and Mixing it 4 minutes gently with spatula instead of stiring sticks resulted in less bubbles. Working time is way longer compared to other finishes that I used before.If you feel it's becoming sticky ,I would throw away and mix fresh batch.Well worth it in long run.This finish dosnt like heat that much like other products do.Overall I am very satisfied .
Honestly was taking a gamble since I’m pretty new to selling my rods but this product is pretty good noticed a lot less bubbles right away
Tried Gen 4 as a change of pace with a finish I wasn’t too pleased with. Was a good decision as the Gen 4 immediately displayed markedly better workability (bubble release, leveling).
I have used the Generation 4 product on 5 fishing poles and have been pleased with the finish each time. It is easy to apply.
This thread finish has outstanding clarity, lays well and releases bubbles easily. Definitely my favorite finishing product, really makes it easy to get great results.
