Cover your butt

I’m using this for my bent butt rods. It’s big enough to cover the offshore bent butts. I put electrical tape on first then the heat shrink. This gives some friction to keep the rod from sliding out of the holder. Works great.

Heat shrink

This is large enough to cover bent butt handles. That’s what I’m using it for. I do put electrical tape on first, then the tubing over that. Works great.

Grip rejuvenation

One of my favorite casting rods was in dire need of new grips . The cork grips were pretty beat up from many years of use . The reel seat and the guides are in good shape and I didnt want to strip the rod down to the blank . So I sanded the cork so it was smooth , cut the flock grips to fit , used the ol harbor freight heat gun to shrink the new grips . What a difference ! The rod looks great . Highly recommend . Looks and feels like a new fishing rod .

Replacement grip for a surf rod

Used the shrink tube over old cork tape .Measured it slightly long on both the fore grip and butt section. With the hear gun set at 500 degrees ,it shrunk to both very well and very tight to the rod .Would definitely use it again ! Very quick and easy repair and it looks great-Thank you

Flocked heat shrink

Been using it for years for all types of grip applications and grip repair with no complaints. I add different materials for underwrap if they want a different texture feel
