Did what I needed it to
They work great, I used them In a rod I built recently
I’ve used these reamers on almost 20 rods so far and they are still going strong. I have lightly chucked them in a drill since day 1 and only 2 have gotten weak. So I decided to insert some old drill bits into them since I had the masking tape and two-part epoxy out anyway and made them heavy duty. See pic below. Thanks mudhole!
I use this as a finishing reamer for 4-piece fly rods. The extreme reamers are a faster taper than most fly rod blanks and this ream provides the proper taper and great control. Use with gloves or mount a handle on the end for comfortable use.
Hey M. Foster, we could not agree more. The extreme reamers are great for quickly removing a lot of material, but for more detailed work on smaller diameter rods like fly rods these reamers are a great tool. - Mud Hole Custom Tackle
These rangers are terrible. 2 stars because they work, but out of the bag the sandpaper was coming off all but the largest. They tear up your hands and gloves should you choose to wear them. There are no drill attachments. You could epoxy some but for $7 and change you can upgrade to better reamers. I may be wrong about the price of the better reamers, if I’m honest I’d pay more to not use these ever again.
