Project X reel seats are my number 1 request seat. I took a hammer to one to test durability, and it took more abuse than I expected it would.
I recommend and use the Project X spinning reel seats for all my custom builds unless customer specifies something different. Evey customer with the Project X are happy and request it on future builds. I use the Project X on my personal rods, it is sturdy, easy to color coordinate and grips a reel with the tenacity of a pit bull.
Looks great. ID is not the same all the way through.
It's a nice upgrade to the standard reel seat and works well in the lock down position. The ability to color coordinate is big plus in a reel seat that that is an upgrade in appearance.
