Great rod stands. O-rings from the wrong kind of rubber.

Brand new out of the box the stands were great but the O-rings were badly cracked. I ordered the replacement CRB O-rings and they were badly cracked within 60 days. These are made from the wrong rubber. Black rubber is usually nitrile or neoprene, both of which crack in air from the ozone. Silicone rubber, which is far more durable for this purpose, is usually red or orange. These are available at Grainger or McMaster-Carr.

Look for 1/8" O-rings, 1 5/8" I.D. x 1 7/8" O.D.

Needs a couple tweaks

First of all these stands are well built. A couple issues that I have ran into is that the t-bolts don't fit the track very well and the rubber washers hang up. T-bolts need to be slightly thinner in order to slide freely in the tracks. When the t-bolts get stuck they tend to create a burr in the slots of the tracks. The rubber washers get hung up and make it time consuming to adjust the roller heights. If these had a Delrin or UHMW washers the things would be awesome.

This Save the Day!

Originally order two, a couple build later needed another one, I have all three, gets the job done, the T bolt is a little bit thick, doesn't quite fit the groove so I had to sand it down, somewhere along the line CRB changed the hardware, overall good product.

Impulse purchase

Bought these to replace my small ones on my rod builder but they failed to tell you it only fits on a certain track base obviously not mine now if I want to use them I have to buy a new track base so another $150 never ending spending just as bad as a boat

Very well built

I really wanted these stands to be great but not so. I got two of these for my ALPs wrapper, I also got the new adapters. The problem I have with these is that they take to long to adjust, otherwise these are very good. They are well made and do work very well, I have used them all day today on a build and it took me longer to do the building the usual because of the time it takes to adjust.

Glad to hear they work well after a bit of adjustment. Thank you for your feedback and your continued business.
