This tip top adhesive works phenomenal and is very strong. Every rod builder has to have this and could also be used underneath your guide foot to secure to your rod before wraps. The stick will last you long time and will do hundreds of rods.
Works well. But I have to shave off little pieces and then chop them up so I can fit down tip. Wish it was in a spaghetti like shake like the FC one.
Easy to use.
Lightly sanded rod tip. Scraped off slivers and pre-loaded the TT. Heated stick, smeared some on rod tip. Heated TT pressed on rod. Dunked in water to cool. Done.
Should be repairable with a lighter or match if it ever comes loose.
Fished it last weekend in Texas heat, and everything fine.
I use similar (if not same) product and method on broadheads. I doubt the TT takes more stress than a broadhead impact.
Time will tell if it is as good as epoxy, but so far I'm sold.
