Tried one on a 6' UL I had built because I wanted it to be more travel friendly. The ferrule fits well and works great. It took me a bit of planning and figuring before mustering the nerve to cut a perfectly good rod but it paid off. Easy peasy!
I have four Penn 7ft rods. They are great rods, but they are one piece, which makes it hard to fit in my truck. So, I cut them so I can have 40-60 rods and used ferrules from Mudhole. The ferrules fit to perfection, I and used epoxy to affix them. Great ferrules, fast service, and great fit. Foolishly, I also ordered ferrules from Ebay. These ferrules came from mainland Chine, took weeks to arrive, and fitment was not accurate--my regrettable mistake. From now on I will buy ferrules only from Mud Hole. NEM 06/28/24
Wish you carried more sized. Some of what I need were out of stock.
Great quality and service
A bit long for my rod. I trimmed it with a drummel and the ends fit perfect.
