The American Tackle Adjustable Weighted Butt Cap is a simple and effective way to fine tune the balance and overall feel of your custom rod build. Designed as a complete unit, it includes the weighted butt cap with EVA cap and three 10 gram threaded weights, allowing you to easily add or remove weight to achieve the perfect balance point. Whether you are offsetting a longer blank, heavier guide train, or dialing in a technique specific setup, this system gives builders total control without sacrificing a clean, professional finish.
Installation is straightforward. First, create an inlet in the butt of your grip using the .760 inch blade of your CRB Pro Inletting Tool. Glue the EVA cap to the butt cap, then glue the complete butt cap assembly into the handle. Once fully cured, simply unscrew the cap to add or remove the included 10 gram threaded weights as needed.
Important: These weights measure 0.44" in diameter and require a blank with an Inside diameter larger than than the weights.
