Color really pops and the rod has really performed well
Laid out perfectly. Refurbishing an older medium heavy spinner grip. Cut about 3/4” longer than grip size, used heat gun and wa-laaa. Perfect.
Took it on a 60 hour tuna trip and it took everything we threw at it, several blackfin and an amberjack. https://share.icloud.com/photos/0c976ZR3P-zpnCQ2MDie_q_eg
Super easy to work with and look great on the rods
They are always so helpful and patient with me and and they always help me figure out how to get exactly what I anm looking for and stand behind everything they sell.
These fit absolutely perfectly to Fuji 18 size reel seats! All you have to do is measure your blank diameter and you're good to go!

Mud Hole’s 9-foot, 5-weight rod-building kit was an excellent choice for members of American Veteran Fly Fishers. The kit provided a rewarding, hands-on experience while teaching patience, concentration, and practical rod-building skills.
Our veterans took great pride in building their own quality fly rods—rods they can now use and enjoy for years. This kit fits perfectly with AVFF’s mission of helping veterans heal through fly fishing, fellowship, and the outdoors.
We highly recommend it for veterans’ organizations, fly-fishing clubs, schools, and anyone interested in learning the rewarding craft of rod building.
It does what it is supposed to do but it should either be included with the carriage or built into it like the 2 spool carriage is. This snaps in place on the back of the carriage and beware if you put too much tension on it the feet that snap on the carriage can break. If you are going to buy one of these, I would recommend buying a spare so if you break it in the middle of a build you can get back to work fast. I have also thought about drilling a hole in this part and **** it to the carriage. Not sure why this was a separate part.
I really like this thread carriage but I don't understand why it does not come with the CRB Tension Rod Attachment or built in like the two spool one is?? I also suggest buying an extra tension rod attachments as the feet on mine that hold on the back of the frame broke off. Other than that, it works pretty good.
Excellent quality tip top. They are light duty rated but they perform above that. I use them for Smallmouth and Walleye builds. Customers love them. Do yourself a favor and don't over build your tip weight.
Great product holds steady both the rod and the stand which has double anchors to the track
This MHX carbon modular pole is pretty nice. Assembly was easy if you have some patience and let the epoxy fully cure each time you use it. Results are more rewarding if you take the time to align the carbon grain. You can barely see that’s it’s not a one piece pole. Best part is how incredibly light it is. It’s also well balanced in my opinion. The only compromise I’ve experienced is it fitting into the underside gunnel mounts on my 16.5’ flats boat. The amount of bend I need to get it to slide into all 3 mounts is a little unsettling and will eventually wear the outer layer of the pole. However, it is carbon and for that reason, its function on the water is proper. I’d recommend topside mounts for your boat but that’s a me problem and having an older flats boat with older style mounts. Customer service was on point when I had a shipping hiccup with my order. Thanks again guys.
Very nice set up for finesse bass rods I use. I run a braid / floro leader set up and really like the performance. Very quiet with a nine carrier braid.
I love the natural shell and the ability to work with such an easy product. The clients I’ve showed it to are extremely excited about having it used on their rods.
Used this to help with doing a sawtooth wrap on a rod build, worked great
perfect weight to balance out longer rod builds.
The prisma metallic thread looks really cool for decorative wraps and under wraps
Nice color for old brown fiberglass blanks. No issues with loose fibers or varying color. Tensile strength is as expected.
Here, I used ProWrap Nylon 349 Merlot, no color preserver, finished with Varthane satin oil-based polyurethane spar varnish for a rich, subdued appearance.
I use quote a few of these the feel great in your.
