The PVD coated stainless steel Wire Fly Tops are designed with a welded loop to tube connection for reliable frame integrity and strength. In addition to black or polished frames, the Wire Tip Tops come in 3 loop sizes: standard, large, and x-large that satisfy any fly fishing application.
The XL Wire Tops are also extremely popular for ice fishing rods.

They work. They’re cheap. Haven’t got a bent one yet. If they’re sold out I usually get a size up and lay a light wrap under it. Works fine. Usually go with the XL. Go big, or go home.

I enjoy restoring old Bamboo rods and fishing them. CRB tip tops are super functional and a great value.
They fit as measured, arrived in a few days as expected amd are working great!
Used the standard loop size for a 3 wt fly rod project, ring is comparable to the size 2 CRB light wire double foot snake guide which worked great in this case. Have also used them on ice rods, and are a good option for that as well.
They work great for ice rods! Customers like them because they don’t ice up!
