Polyurethane Reel Seat Arbors

Product Details

Polyurethane is an ideal material for arboring reel seats because it is lightweight and highly sensitive - increasing "feel" and transferring bites and strikes through the handle. The semi-porous polyurethane material absorbs epoxy glue quite well and ensures a strong bond with the rod blank and reel seat. Available to fit most common sizes of reel seats, these arbors all include a 1/4" pilot hole which can be easily reamed or drilled out to fit any rod blank.

Sold individually.

Foam arbors

Used a foam arbor for the first time and I really liked it. I may have done it backwards I glued the arbor to the blank then the next day I glued the reel seat on and it wanked out great. There was almost no sanding so that is why I did it that way. If I more sanding next time I’ll glue it to the reel seat 1st the sand it to fit the blank.

Good arbors

The arbors save a lot of time and seem to fit nicely. A must have in my opinion.

Poly Arbors

This is the best way to set a reel seat. Using tape is a bad idea because in time the tape will degrade and make the reel seat loose. If someone is spending alot of money for a custom built rod why cut corners on arbors. Do it right!

Reel Seat Arbors

Using these are so much better than wrapping a bunch of tape on a rod. The tape will break down in time. These arbors are the way to go definitely.
