Our 2-Day beginners rod building class is taught by top professional rod builders with extensive knowledge of all the techniques and components that build today's top-performing fishing rods. Hosted in Mud Hole’s state-of-the-art Education Center, this class will teach you how to assemble your own spinning or casting rod from the handle to the tip.

You will build a 7'0" medium-light power rod, in your choice of spinning or casting. Plus, enjoy your first rod build with personalized instruction from the industry’s best!

Items Included in Beginner Rod Building Class

Over $180 In Products: You will receive over $180 in products including a CRB hand wrapper, rod dryer, rod blank, reel seat, handle, guides, tip top, thread, decals, epoxy glue, thread finish... and more!

Cancellations made 30+ days prior to the class date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 15 to 30 days prior to class date may be rescheduled up to 1 time. All cancellations made less than 15 days prior to the class date will forfeit their class fee and receive the class items, there will be a shipping charge for all items shipped to customers.

It was awesome

Such a great experience. The instructors were very knowledgeable, passionate, patient, and very helpful. I want to take the next class soon. I brought home the knowledge and taught my 14yo son how to do it. Definitely recommend doing it.

Great Class!!

Took the May 3rd to 4th class. The instructors were great! The class was great. Class was in FL and we flew in from VA and Mud Hole shipped everything back to us (Class was over on Sunday everything was received by Wed.)

Best Birthday Gift!

My wife took me to this class as a birthday gift and it was a great experience! The lessons were easy to understand and the teachers that were in the class made sure I understood everything and that I was doing the correct job to assure I was building it correctly.
