Finesse Rod

Got to play around with this blank in the warehouse when I visited. Liked it so much it rode back half way across the country with me! This blank excels at drop shot, ned rig, and small swimbaits. This blank reminds me to the OG Loomis 822 all my buddies have but, theirs aren't teal and pretty like mine. 10/10 if you are looking for a finesse build this is the way to go!

Great Rod

This MedLight Extra fast is such a great rod, fun rod to fish with. Walleye, crappy, smallies, etc.

Paper thin blank

Bought 2 of these as my first rod builds to learn some stuff before I step up and start doing some saltwater rods. 1st one turned out awesome! sadly on my first fishing outing, the rod broke first cast. Mud hole worker suggests I was using to heavy of weight for the rod, but I was using a bobber and shiner. Not only that but the rod broke 3 inches from the butt of the blank. Been fishing my whole life and never had a rod break like that. I’d suggest looking elsewhere for quality blanks based off my MH experience. MH suggests 25 dollar warranty plus shipping to get the same blank again. I’m gonna have to buy new cork, reelseat, guides, and time just to build a rod that will crumble in hand first cast… No thanks.. After spending hundreds in rod building gear and hearing how great MH customer service is I am sorry to say that is not the experience I have had. Going to be taking my business elsewhere. If anyone wants to pay for shipping you can have my other blank.. Not interested in putting the time and money in something so cheap.

Cole, thank you for the feedback. We are sorry to hear about your recent experience. A representative has reached out to further assist you with this matter. We look forward to finding a fitting resolution for you.
