When you grab a new TVS seat, your hand falls exactly where you think it should and, logically, FUJI has designed this seat so that you are in direct touch on BOTH sides of the blank with your grip in that position. Your thumb and forefinger naturally assume a "V" shape when grasping the rod and FUJI engineers have made those points the "windows" to the blank.
TVS also has a new hood with a slight forward sweeping "bulge" that makes a huge difference in the way it feels in your hand. Combined, these two design improvements push TVS to the top of the spinning seat category.
Like the PTS, this seat requires a 15 or 17mm insert (these seats are not "cored" like ACSM and ECSM seats) but for you "right brained" creatives out there, the insert can be carbon, aluminum, acrylic, wood or a handful of materials we haven't even thought of yet. Build it up-locking. Have fun.
Back Stop Lock Nut is a lightweight guarantee that your reel will stay put no matter what the conditions.
Unlike "jam" nuts that simply bind one set of threads against another to create a "lock", Back Stop is a unique double-nut system with a floating collar between the nuts that locks down the position of the reel seat hood without tightening the hood further against the reel foot. This unique "floating collar" actually tightens when the hood nut attempts to loosen, and generates a pushing force against the hood nut. Completely eliminates reel foot loosening. Available in size 18 and 20 in a short nut design (LO1/AN), extended nut (LOS16/AN) or a hidden thread collar (LOK16/AN) similar to the KDPS hood.

Very comfortable in lock down position
Good idea, it hides the trides on the reel seat
These are my go to reel seat. Comfortable and the decorative insert adds that extra sensitivity that really come into play on those tough bites. Not to mention that they look great
I built an a light inshore blank with this reel seat and it worked out great. I used fuji carbon fiber thread cover and I used 2 base rings to finish both sides of thread cover. Came out great. Will definitely use this reel seat again.
Very comfortable where your hands and fingers wrap around the reel seat is narrow and fingers rest on insert. Looks awesome as well. I’ve used this reel seat on many rods, one of my favorites.
