The Power Wrapper that set the bar, has raised it… again. The Second Generation of CRB RBS-PRO Power Wrapper & Dryer combines the smooth operation and dependability of the original while adding additional features and expandability to grow along with your business.
This Second Generation allows builders to complete a rod build without ever having to remove the rod from the unit. From turning a custom handle, to wrapping guides and decorative thread work, down to the final coat of rod finish, it can all be done on the CRB RBS-PRO G2.
The RBS-Pro Power Wrapper and Dryer features a Heavy Duty precision machined aircraft grade aluminum headstock and chuck. With both concave and convex chuck teeth the RBS-Pro securely holds a wide range of rod blanks and mandrels across the full RPM range. The face of the chuck features indexing in 15 degree increments for those builders spiral wrapping custom rods or laying out thread art designs.
The RBS-Pro Power Wrapper and Dryer offers a power control knob allowing the builder to adjust the speed while getting a digital voltage readout to allow for setting repeatability. The builder not only has power adjustment at their fingertips but the unit features an electric foot pedal that drive the power wrapper. The power is delivered to the chuck via stepped aluminum pulleys, allowing four different speed and torque configurations. Two drive belt options are included.
What would all this power be without control and adjustment? The motor plate on the CRB RBS-Pro is fully adjustable to allow the builder to make fine adjustments to the belt tension and alignment throughout the life of the unit.

I've tried it on a few wraps and works great. The foot control is smooth from slow speeds to the faster speeds.
Just completed my first rod build with the G2 Power Wrapper. Way different than the hand wrapping that I built three rods previously. This wrapper was part of the kit. Took a bit of getting used to wrapping from behind rather than the front (with hand wrapper). But quickly acclimated. Adjusting the speed setting made for quickly finding what was comfortable. Wow did it make wrapping and thread finishing quick. Edges on the thread finish are more tightly aligned vs. hand finishing. Rod centered great in the chuck. Really happy so far. As a side note, the original wrapper that came with the kit was defective and needed to be sent back. Caleb was excellent in working the issue to satisfaction. MudHole customer service is top notch.
