Keeps thread from getting sun burned.
I find this color preserver to be even and have not had an issue like the other reviewer. I apply it while turning the blank, and coat evenly REMOVING EXCESS. Do not try to go gobbing it on, apply in coats if you want more. Highly recommend testing your application process before doing an entire rod.
It also works great to hold down a feather for an inlay before epoxy. Just enough adhesion to allow for the feather to stick.
I also use it on light colored metallics to prevent the epoxy darkening the thread.
I absolutely love everything I get from you
I wish I bypassed using this stuff. I completely rebuilt a cherished rod with new guides and wrapped with FishHawk Nylon D threads. The Goldenrod (yellow) thread lost it's brilliance and became translucent in spots. I hoped the final epoxy finish would even it out, but no such luck. Now I have a botched job.
This color preserver is by far the best I've ever used
