Very nice application with quality cork and an assortment of winding checks to finish it off.
I have used full cork handles on all my casting rod builds. I love the cork handles and all my clients request them. I have use some of the Winn grips on my spinning rods and they are okay. I believe the cork will outlast any of the other types. I would give them a 5-plus star rating,
Sincerely, Jim Parmenter, Downeast Custom Rods
Most of the rods I build, casting or spinning, I and the folks I build for prefer the full length cork butt grips and a very short fore grip.
The handle kit was easy to work with. I have a ream from a previous rod build so I chucked it in a drill and carefully shaped the inside hole to fit my rod. A child could do it. I chose a foam handle because this rod is intended for use with a downrigger. I don't want a rod holder tearing up any cork.
