The size was deceiving it’s an 18mm inside with a very large outside it’s not a fresh water rod reel seat and that’s what I had purchased it for
Thought the seat was reasonably price, compared to some out there. Looks good and the weight is not bad. I'll be putting a ocean Jigger 2000 on it
Looks great with reel
I'm giving this a 2 star review based on how sharp the edges on the vents were.
I do alot of saltwater inlet and surf fishing requiring long powerful casts. The vents are at such an angle that they dig in and cut the inside of my thumb, then saltwater gets in the cuts and it's just no fun. Good seat, locks positively. DO NOT use if you plan on doing alot of casting or putting power into your cast.
Functionality: 9/10
Comfort: 2/10
I use these reel seats for most of my salt builds. Function perfectly. With all the color choices and the cool looks they really add to that custom rod.
