This Advanced Hand Wrapper System is a standalone wrapper that provides an upgraded sturdy base and two securely fastened stands with handy precision knobs for quick adjustments — plus, multiple new add-ons to truly enhance your hand wrapping experience.
For example, the all-new ball bearing and spring system eliminates friction for pure, unimpeded thread tension and tight, smooth thread wraps with ease. In the base, the slider allows thread to track accurately along the wrap, while the stands add two more notches to accommodate wrapping larger diameter rods.
The base also includes two convenient insets to keep any guides, tip tops, and tools like guide tubing, razor blades, and more accessible from the first wrap to the last.

I didn't get a chance to use it yet but know I will like it. Only build a few rods a year since 1990. Always wrapped by hand using a Clemens thread tensioner. The fact that now I will be able to "Let It Go" so to speak, will make it easier to do single turn inlays etc without losing tension. Good worth while tool.
Just used it to wrap two guides on my fly rod I’ve been using for years and also to replace a hook keeper that had broken off. The butt section had been stuck to the middle section this past summer and I tried every possible trick in the book to separate them. Eventually I did, but a stripping guide on the middle section was really loosened up as a result. And so I decided to rewrap it and replace a very badly worn cork grip as well. That meant I had to replace the stripping guide on the butt section as well. Now I’m hooked … no pun intended. I’ve already ordered a MH-x fly rod blank to build … and have two more in the cart to order … another fly rod and a spinning rod. This little wrapper makes things real easy!
As a beginner I’ve found this wrapper to be great. The 4 spool will be added one day
I just tested it out with a junk rod and it made it seem way to easy to make the rod look perfectly crafted.
I have been using the older version of this for a while. it's a great starter wrapper but I'm definitely ready to upgrade to a power wrapper
