Our 2-Day beginners rod building class is taught by top professional rod builders with extensive knowledge of all the techniques and components that build today's top-performing fishing rods. Hosted in Mud Hole’s state-of-the-art Education Center, this class will teach you how to assemble your own spinning or casting rod from the handle to the tip.

You will build a 7'0" medium-light power rod, in your choice of spinning or casting. Plus, enjoy your first rod build with personalized instruction from the industry’s best!

Awesome Class

Super fun and easy to follow with no experience at all. The instructors are SO knowledgeable, helpful and fun. Very good time especially to do with a loved one. Would recommend to anyone who loves fishing (makes a great gift too!). Huge thanks to all the instructors who were amazing!

Great 101 Class

Took the 101 class this weekend. Left with a nice rod I built and a lot of knowledge for future builds. I recommend this class to anyone wanting to build their own rods. The instructors all work great together guiding you in the build. for eight hours on Saturday, I was completely immersed in learning and hands on work and forgot about the outside world. This class is worth double the price of admission. Thanks Mud Hole Staff.
