The bobbin ruined my thread and fade wrap...

My thread was fine going in, but after coming out of the other end of the tube on the bobbin, there was fuzzies all over the place. On all other wraps on the same rod where I used the same thread without the bobbin, the thread/wrap is perfect. There must be rough edges on the bobbin that caused this.

Needs a bit of modification then it works great.

Was excited to see this on the Mud Hole website, as I have been previously using fly tying bobbin for inlays and trim work. The fact that you could attach this bobbin to the rod with the included band seemed like a better mouse trap. After using it, while it did what is said, it had rough edges in the tube and was tearing up my thread. after sanding the inside edges of the thread tube, it works great and I am very happy with it.

throbbin bobbin

I think it's a great add to my tool box, so much so that I have 3 of the small and 1 of the large. I haven't really done any inlay's yet but I use them all of the time on butt wrapps, they help to keep the thread nice and tight and to keep things straight.
